Kelechi Iheanacho NOT going To Brazil- Keshi

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has dashed the hope of Golden Eaglets hero Kelechi Iheanacho playing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Iheanacho emerged the Most Valuable Player at the concluded FIFA U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in November, scoring six goals.
That feat has left millions of football loving Nigerians to call for his inclusion in the Super Eagles team to the World Cup, but that is not in the plans of Keshi right now.
“Iheanacho is a fantastic player that will have to grow through the ranks before playing for the Super Eagles”, Keshi said on Brila FM.
“He had a good experience at the U17 World Cup, but he needs to play regularly to help his career”.
“He will play for the Super Eagles, but he has to come through the ranks (U20 and U23) and as well play competitive football for a club side. We don’t have to rush him, he has so much to achieve in his career”.
