Kanye West Warns Fans Not To Buy Louis Vuitton Till 2014

Rapper Kanye West has waged war against super international designer brand Louis Vuitton by ordering all his fans in New York to boycott Louis Vuitton products until January 2014. In a recent interview with 92.3 NOW radio yesterday, Nov 25; the rap star dissed the brand’s vice-president, Yves Carcelle for refusing to see him while in Paris.
Skanye-West-louis-Vuitton-wareems Kanye’s meeting with Jesus in Seattle in October has probably altered the singer’s view on things including standing up for his right and his ability to meet with just anyone he wants to meet! He lashed out in the radio chat, “they think I don’t realize my power?”
So because the brand’s VP, Yves Carcelle denied to see Kanye – one of the most popular rappers in music – in Paris few months ago, Kanye says, “Everybody in New York City right now, don’t buy any Louis Vuitton until after January.”
Speaking on 92.3 NOW radio, he said: “I was made for this moment. What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said I don’t understand why we need to meet with you. I said, “let me explain to you why you need to meet with me…” He bitterly said, “Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don’t realize my power.”
Kanye is hoping his ‘power’ will stop fans splashing out £300 to £8,000 on the French brand’s luggage and handbags. The rapper is perhaps on an anti-fashion crusade, claiming the world’s top designers have essentially blackballed him from the industry because he’s a black rapper.

Ribery confident of Ballon d'Or

Franck Ribery said he was confident of winning the World Player of the Year award because he "made the difference" and "set defences on fire".
"I have no fear, I am confident. I have done all I had to," the Bayern Munich and France winger told French daily Le Monde in an interview on Monday.
"If you look at my performances all year long, I have made the difference. I may not score in every match but I set the defences on fire," he said.
The 30-year-old Ribery, who helped Bayern to win an unprecedented Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup treble last season, was crowned UEFA Best Player in Europe in August and is in contention for FIFA's worldwide Ballon d'Or award.
"So far this year, I have never failed. I have been good during the whole year with my national team and my club. What we did with Bayern last season was historic," said Ribery, who also helped France to qualify for next year's World Cup.
Asked if he feared competition from 2008 winner Cristiano Ronaldo after the forward scored all Portugal's goals in their 4-2 aggregate win over Sweden in the World Cup playoffs, Ribery said: "Not at all, honestly.
"Ronaldo certainly scores goals, but I do too. He certainly scores more than I do, but we don't have the same style."
FIFA will announce a three-man shortlist from the candidates, who also include four-times winner Lionel Messi, Barcelona's Andres Iniesta and Ronaldo's Real Madrid team mate Gareth Bale, early next month.
The winner will be announced on Jan. 13.

Ogbomoso count losses over ASUU strike

Ogbomoso - Residents and traders in Ogbomoso on Monday continued to count their losses from the prolonged the ASUU strike.

Some residents in Ogbomoso town where Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH)is situated, complained to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) about the adverse effects of the prolonged strike on their businesses.

They said that the strike, apart from affecting the students nationwide, had also badly affected their businesses.

Yinka Ajewole, a trader told NAN that her business was badly affected by the strike action, adding that her customers were drawn from the students’ populace.

“My market is not moving at all. The goods are just there without buyers and this is because the students are not around.”

“I hardly make a quarter of what I make when the school was on,” she said.

Saheed Hassan, a motorcycle (Okada) rider said that everything had been difficult since the strike started.

“This Okada business was better when the students are around. Now it is very hard and the income is very low,” he said.

However, some of the residents, who have their children in the university, urged government to resolve the issue with ASUU for their children to return to school.

They urged government to see the students as the future leaders who needed to be well groomed for future challenges.

Ridwan Adeyemi, one of the residents and a parent described the ongoing strike as 'insensitivity' of government and the lecturers to the future of the students.

Adeyemi urged government to always make agreements that could be fulfilled.

The residents further called on the government and the striking lecturers to come to a compromise in the interest of the students and the nation at large.

The Best Abs exercises 2

Upper Abdominal Exercises

There are many different exercises which can be used to build upper ab muscles quickly. One of the easiest is a stomach crunch. This is an intermediate exercisewhich most people can do. To do these, lie down on your back and start lifting your back off the floor. This will strengthen your upper back and ab muscles together.

Middle Abdominal Exercises

The bicycle exercise is very useful for strengthening your middle abdominal and back muscles. Lie down on the floor on your back and bend your knees and hips so that your legs are in an L shape. Now stretch your legs out in an alternating motion like you're riding a bike. When you're doing this exercise you need to move slowly and in a controlled fashion. This will make it much better for your back.

Lower Abdominal Exercises

One of the best and easiest exercises which works the lower abs is the pelvic tilt. This can be done easily without any specialist equipment. Lie down on a hard surface and tilt your pelvis while you're breathing in. Then return to the normal resting position by breathing out.
Another useful lower abdominal exercise is the leg lift. This is also simple to do and is a matter of lying on the floor and lifting your legs up slowly. Then hold the position for a few seconds before lowering them down carefully.

Eating Protein

If you're trying to build muscles, you will need to be consuming plenty of protein. Protein is the building block of all muscles and is essential for your body to work properly. Make sure that you are eating plenty of protein to strengthen the muscles.
Make sure that you are eating healthily and that your body is getting all the nutrients that it needs to function properly. A standard cardio exercise routine will be very helpful, because it will aid in shedding excess body fat to make the abs more visible.

Be Patient

While the effects of these exercises may be noticed in less than a month, it is something that you will need to continue working at. You will need to change your lifestyle so that your ab muscles continue to grow and you get a six pack to be proud of.

The Best Abs exercises 1

The best ab exercises for strengthening your core include movements for both the upper and lower abdominals. By performing an ab workout on a regular basis, you can also increase the definition of your abdominal muscles. The actual number of exercises and repetitions to perform during each ab training workout depends on your own personal goals and level of fitness.

 Crunches

This is one of the main exercises to use for both strengthening and defining your upper abdominal muscles. To perform crunches, lie down on the floor and bend your knees. Keep both feet flat on the floor at approximately shoulder width. Place your hands behind your head but do not use them to assist with the exercise. To begin the movement, lean up until the middle of your back is off of the floor. Squeeze your ab muscles for a count of one, then lower yourself back down to the floor. Do three sets of at least 10 repetitions.

 Side Crunches

Side crunches are an exercise to use for your oblique muscles, which are on the sides of your midsection. To perform the exercise, lie down on the floor on your right side. Slide your legs up on the floor slightly toward your chest so they are bent at the knees, then put your right hand on your left hip. Put your left hand behind your head but do not use it to help pull your body up during the exercise. To begin the side crunch movement, lean up and try to touch your left elbow to your left hip. Squeeze and hold your abs for a count of one, then lower yourself back down to the floor. Do 10 repetitions and then switch positions to work the other side. Try to do three sets of 10 repetitions for each side.

 Leg Raises

Leg raises are an exercise to use for your lower abdominals. To perform this exercise, lie down on the floor with your legs fully extended and your feet pointing up. Place your arms by your sides with your palms on the floor. To begin the movement, slowly lift your legs six inches off the ground and then squeeze your abdominal muscles. Hold the position for a count of one, then lower your legs back down to approximately one inch off of the ground. Do not let your feet touch the floor until after you finish the last repetition. Try to do three sets of 10 repetitions each time you train your lower abs.

 Knee-Ups

Knee-ups are another exercise for the lower abs. To perform this exercise, sit on the end of a bench and place your hands on the sides for support. Extend your legs out in front of you with your feet together and your heels on the floor. To begin the movement, bend your knees and pull them up toward your chest. Squeeze your abs for a count of one, then extend your legs back in front of you but do not let your feet touch the floor. Try to do three sets of 10 repetitions for this exercise.#

$48.5 million contract extension : It Wasn't a Negotiation - Kobe Bryant

WASHINGTON – Between his signature on a two-year, $48.5 million contract extension and a cross-country flight to the East Coast on Monday, Kobe Bryant was left befuddled and bemused by those who declared him greedy and uncaring about chasing championships.
"This was easy," Bryant told Yahoo Sports on Monday night. "This wasn't a negotiation. The Lakers made their offer with cap and building a great team in mind while still taking care of me as a player.
"I simply agreed to the offer."
Until the hours before the Lakers' meeting with the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, that's all Bryant would say about the contract extension. He is 35 years old, working his way back from a torn Achilles and the Buss family is still betting Bryant is the best free-agent star available on the market, betting that Bryant can still drive ticket sales and TV ratings and make these Lakers relevant again.
In this basketball universe, that's what a max player does for a big-market franchise. The late Lakers owner, Jerry Buss, was always brutally honest about the value of his superstar players – so much more so than his ownership peers. Once, Buss told Bryant he believed he was worth $60 million to $70 million a year to the Lakers.
With Bryant's deal – which will pay him $23.5 million and $25 million in 2015 and '16, respectively – the Lakers have room to recruit a max player this summer, and only Bryant's contract is still on the books for the summer of 2016.

Make no mistake: There's little chance a max player willing to change teams will be available to the Lakers this summer. LeBron James is never coming to the Lakers, and Carmelo Anthony is unlikely to turn down the $130 million available to him in New York. This might be a summer of signing less-than-superstar players, with next year turning into the Lakers' big play on the market.
In the end, NBA owners created the perfect system to underpay and turn the public against its greatest revenue-producing players. Nowhere else but the NBA do the best players have a limit on the salaries paid to them, and nowhere else but the NBA do the best players have such an impact on winning and TV deals and ticket sales.
The owners wanted this system and, truth be told, superstars would be foolhardy to let the NBA rig everything to make them take even less. Deposed NBPA executive director Billy Hunter gave back everything in collective bargaining over the years, and the stars driving the league are supposed to give back even more? It's the Lakers' job to work within the framework of the CBA now, take their massive revenue, their natural recruiting advantages in L.A., and rebuild this team again.
San Antonio's Tim Duncan did take a three-year, $30 million-plus deal late in his career, but he does play for the San Antonio Spurs. Different market, different revenue streams for Spurs owner Peter Holt. When Duncan made the choice to play his entire career in a small market, there were sacrifices he had to make. The Spurs were willing to pay him far more than the deal he accepted in 2012, but management showed him a specific plan to keep the group they had together and how his savings could help them bring on more players within the franchise's financial framework.
The Lakers had a vision for the future, too, and they sold Bryant on its execution with him remaining the highest-paid player in the NBA. That's a superstar's job: Work with the organization, partner in a plan and trust in the track record.
Rest assured, the Lakers are making the leap of faith on what kind of a player Bryant will be upon his return soon, but doctors have convinced them his Achilles is strong again, sturdy, and that Bryant will be Bryant again.
